about

Based on the North East coast of England, Mended Made Studios make silly yet serious art for the day dreamers, creatively curious, and ever evolving. Inspired by the steady pace of rising and falling tides, prioritising rest, and living consciously, Mended Made combines form and function to make beautiful objects that celebrate the joy of the everyday, and delusional hope for the future in the face of a world intent of destroying optimism in all its forms.

Alongside making books, and teaching others their craft, Mended Made Studios publish a monthly analogue newsletter; ‘Post from the Coast’. This subscription model helps to sustainably fund the studio year round, and keeps you in touch with all of the goings on of life by the sea.

Multidisciplinary artist Ed Hall is the hands and heart behind everything at Mended Made Studios, and their experiences as a working class, queer, disabled artist inform every decision made within the business. Having recently decided to pursue their creative career full time, they are focusing on building a stable and sustainable practice that will compliment their specific adjustment needs.
